Etobicoke splits into two quite different jobs, and pricing it as one thing gets it wrong.
The lakeshore
Alderwood, Long Branch and New Toronto sit on open, flat frontages with little to break the wind coming off the lake. The snow total matters less here than where the wind puts it: a 6 cm night can leave a clean lawn and a metre of drift across the driveway apron. We plan clearing direction around the prevailing wind rather than just pushing to the nearest edge, and we come back after the wind drops if a property has drifted in again.
The ravine lots
Along the Humber through Kingsway and Humber Valley the properties are sloped, heavily shaded and often losing their turf to moss no matter how much seed goes down. On those lots we would rather talk about shade-tolerant ground cover, bed expansion and drainage than sell you another overseeding that will fail in the same spot next year.
The wide-frontage bungalows through Islington and The Kingsway tend to have large interlock aprons and walkways, which makes this one of our busiest areas for sealing and re-sanding work in mid-summer.
